Installed the cafepress module and the module itself is working.
I changed line 27 $cafepress_id = "myshopgoeshere";
But i get a :
Quote:
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/xxx/public_html/gw/blocks/block-CafePress.php on line 31
the code on line 31 says :
Code:
while ($file = $imgs->read()) {

Any idea how to fix this?
Cheers
Jarco

It shouldn't be looking there to my knowledge. If it is then that's an error on my part. The images are included in a folder called Content. Drop that folder into your root folder as is. It's hard to explain why I had to do it that way but for future reference I'll try. The images themselves are autodetected using the same filenames that Cafepress site uses. On the cafepress main site they are held in the same way in /content/ folder within their root. So when the images are autodetected in the cafepress module instead of looking on the cafepress site it looks on your own. A kind of redirection that happens during the scrape. Now, I would have used the images/content folder instead but as well all know there is already a "content" module so that would just get too confusing. So I put it in the root folder.

If you do not have those images it probably means you got the old version. The 2.0 version is newer and available for download from this site. I wouldn't download anything from the main Dragonfly site anymore as everything is old and outdated and they never update any of their downloads. They pretty much won't take off my downloads from their site even by my request so that forces people to download the old versions or force me to update them even if I don't want to. That's one of many reason why I stopped supporting that site. It's run horribly.

Anyway I hope that you grab the 2.0 version and all is well. I've planned on redoing some of the code on that module anyway. Specifically the part where you have to input your store id's manually. I'm going to build an admin interface for that. Just never got around to it. Wink

I downloaded the 2.0 version and I'm pretty sure it's not a bug with it but when I get some time I'll check into it. Let me know please.

well, it would not work.
Also when i created a empty cafepress folder in images (and afterwards i put the content stuff in there) the entire thing was missing, well everything, the buttons, the merchendise etc.
so i had to go with a manually made block for now.

Oops, I thought you were talking about the module. Didn't even realize it was about the block my apologies.

The block is completely useless, doesn't work. I forgot to take it out. I'll see if I can come up with a working block for it.

I actually got the block to work on my site. Works very well. I just have duplicate images, one that came with the module in the /root/content folder and I made another folder in /root/images called cafepress where I copied the folders inside of content to.

I have also gone to cafepress and have downloaded the images missing. I can zip it and provide the updated images if you like.

OK, I went ahead and zipped the module back up into it's original file. So now it'll have all the images you should need now!!

I left the block alone as it was originally. My site's block I added an image, but nothing else. So I figured that could just be left to the user.

Anyway, enjoy!!

Well I couldn't add it as an attachment, it's too big. So I have added it as a download to dftest.awds.net

GAH!! Sorry bout that. I don't wanna make anyone register to the site, just use it as a tool if needed. Go ahead and try again. By the time you read this, I'll fix that. I think that's a default setting, not sure. I haven't done anything more than set it up.

I can add the block, but really it's working from the zip I downloaded. Only thing I changed was the store name, or cafepress id. And then I added an image to the link in the block.

Bolded is what I changed:

PHP:
$cafepress_id = "[b]sinzclan[/b]";

PHP:
$content .= "<center><a href=\"index.php?name=CafePress&file=index&item=$cafepress_id\">[b]<img src=\"http://www.sinzclan.com/uploads/ProBanner/gearthumb.png\" border=\"0\">[/b]<br>Check out our gear!</a></center>";

It works perfectly, you can see it here: www.sinzclan.com. So that's why I left it alone Wink

Smile OK so it won't bold inside of the php tags, forgot about that. O well, you can still see what I changed and that it wasn't much

oh I see what you did. the original block is supposed to randomly rotate images from your actual cafepress store. it's been broken for a while and not sure why. probably has to do with a new javascript on their side and that i suck at plugging into javascript. what you've done is fine for your own site.

I've updated the download with the new images. still no block though.
was hoping someone would have figured it out and fixed it for me by now. Sad
